My Adult Thoughts

Dating women had always been a problem for Connor. Luckily, Connor now had a girlfriend, or at least he hoped he still had. His girlfriend, Monica, was the most stunning woman he had ever met and he had always wondered why she would go for a guy like him. Monica recently however, had been acting weird, almost distant and he wondered what was bugging her. He always had a fear thatshe would someone who was better looking, richer or just better in bed. Its not that he was paranoid, just Monica was ridiculously beautiful. It had been a while since she had kissed him like she used to, recently it had been just a kiss on the cheek. This made Connor think that she was having an affair and was feeling guilty about it all.

Connor wished he was not so sceptical, however, his last girlfriend had cheated on him and now one of his biggest fears was that Monica would do the same. His last girlfriend had had an affair for nearly a year during their relationship and it meant that he found it difficult for him to trust anyone. Whilst he still had trust issues, he had overcome his problem with dating women as he was now dating Monica.

Monica arrived home, said "Hi" then walked upstairs to get changed from her work clothes. Connor was now utterly fed up with her behaviour and wished that if she was leaving him, she would do it now rather than wait for the right moment, just like his ex-girlfriend. He never really understood women and that is why he thought he had such a problem with dating women. He stomped up the stairs, into their bedroom and demanded to know what the problem was, asking if she was going to break up with him, she did it now rather than prolong a dying relationship. She looked embarrassed and began to blush as Connor braced himself for the worst. It was then she revealed that she actually wanted to propose to him and was waiting for all the details to be confirmed so that it was perfect. She felt as an independent woman, she should be able to propose to him. She told him all the details and it did sound perfect, if truth be told. She then got down on one knee and Connor said "Will you marry me?", Monica was shocked but shouted "YES!"

At least now he would not have to worry about dating women. Now it was just the one woman in his life, for which he was grateful.
