My Adult Thoughts

Last year I went through a bout of depression, I had justseparatedfrom a long time boyfriend and though I was trying to keep my chin up it began to get me down. When I got to the point of not leaving my house for a week and not showering or changing my clothes my really good friend Kathy moved in with me and told me she was going to help me turn it all around. She did so many crazy things, from setting me up an account on an on-line dating site to inviting some cute guy from her office so I could have a fling with him. I didn't have a fling but it was so funny that somehow after a few weeks of my friend pulling all kinds of things like that I began to feel better and before either of us knew it I was signing up to a dating service.

The dating service that I joined was online and I loved that it providedanonymityyet guaranteed results. After having my hear t broken so bad it was a bit risky to put myself out there again but withKathy'shelp I had come to realize that life goes on and you have to go with the changes. I signed up and completed my profile and had a lot of fun making the video in my living room with Kathy as my director. I think it took about 20 cuts till we finally had the perfect video to provide the dating service for my profile.

It was two weeks after joining that I began to get some reviews on my video that Kathy also joined the dating service. I think she realized that she was letting me have all the fun, so she joined and then we had a blast getting her profile ready too. We spent the next few months getting to know some of the guys that the service matched us with and eventually Kathy found a guy that she count live without.

So the moral of my story, no I have not found the love of my life but last night my best friend whom I adore with all my heart got married. She taught me that no matter what life throws at you, you must go one and keep living. Kathy pulled me out of my depression and as a reward found the man of her dreams and will spend the rest of her life with him.
